Keynote Photonics Introduces FlexLight™ X3 DLP® Controller Solution for Machine Vision Applications

The new FlexLight X3 is an integrated and versatile control solution for 3D Metrology

Plano, Texas (PRWEB) January, 19 2012

Today, Keynote Photonics, a DLP Design House, introduced its newest DLP Controller Solution, the FlexLight X3 family, targeted at machine vision systems and photonics applications.

The X3 platform solves one of the biggest challenges of a 3D metrology system by providing a dual camera 2 GB frame capture function synchronized to a powerful user programmable pattern generation system. Users can manipulate multiple areas of the DMD independently. You can get the FlexLight X3 Product Brief here.

The X3 is offered either integrated into a standard projector for development or in a stand-alone module. The X3 uses Texas Instruments DLP5500 XGA chipset. The DMD chip is mounted on a flex-cable board allowing easy integration with custom optical systems.

The X3 can also be configured to use a conventional projector.

At Photonics West, Keynote will demonstrate a prototype 39 cubic inch, 300 lumen LED projector that can support a variety of camera exposure times ideal for 3D metrology.

“The FlexLight X3 family breaks new ground in the use of DLP technology for industrial applications such as machine vision and 3D metrology,” said Adam Kunzman, Keynote Photonics President. “The unparalleled advantages of it’s small size, high brightness, high functional integration and flexibility for physical design make the FlexLight X3 stand out as the solution of choice.”

The FlexLight X3 DLP controller solution provides a new price-performance point for DLP-based machine vision and similar industrial photonics applications. The FlexLight X3 family starts for as low as $3999.00 (USD).
